A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be delivered to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a hosting account, you will be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s amazingly user-friendly, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires only one single click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be shown in this section alphabetically and you’ll only have to click on the "Catch-all" button associated with the given email address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose a different mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with every semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any difficulties even if you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All you need to do to accomplish that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you’ve set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already configured another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you don’t need the feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking once again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
